Vinay is currently a senior at Gunn High School, and has been excited about flying since he was little, when he began regular flight training, soloing when he was 16. He's now a private pilot in both airplanes and helicopters, and wants to become a certified flight instructor as soon as he's old enough and eligible. 

This past summer,  he was an intern at Pivotal, a startup based in Palo Alto that develops eVTOL aircraft. Vinay helped out in various capacities on the flight ops team, helping live aircraft testing activities in Byron airport, debugging virtual reality simulators for pilot training and doing anything that was required on each day, true to a typical startup experience. 

Outside of work and school, Vinay loves skiing and playing basketball, and is a huge fan of the 49ers and the Warriors. He also enjoys outdoor trips and hikes with his brother and two younger sisters. After graduation he wants to study Aerospace Engineering and Physics in college to continue his interest in STEM subjects and Aviation.
